I was shocked at the response I received to this Medium article I wrote about friendship —
It expresses what I have been feeling so I decided to stray from my focus — writing about personal finance, particularly money strategies for those of us who will Never Retire.
I fully expected readers to counter my thoughts with concern as well as annoyance over my apparent cluelessness. This worry almost stopped me from publishing the article.
However, your best work is often the stuff you hesitate to hit publish on. Then cringe when you finally do.
It’s also the type of stuff that triggers unexpected responses because what you’re feeling and saying resonates with other people who think the same or similar things, either independent of your riff or as a result of it.
