When Investing in the Stock Market Turns Into a Nightmare

What to do if you’re one of the unlucky (or honest) ones

I don’t like being around large groups of guys.

There’s just too much bravado. Machismo.

I don’t like being around small groups of or individual men when the testosterone flows too hard and fast.

Never have.

It has always made me uncomfortable.

The degrading comments about women from the same types who would “kill you” if you made an offhand comment about their mother. Bragging about sexual conquests (that probably never happened or didn’t go down in sync with the story they’re telling). The stories about how many beers they can crush.

All of that stuff.

This is probably one reason why the current environment around trading and investing — in stocks and cryptocurrency — troubles me.

Mostly men — I think — sitting around bragging about how much money they’re making.

And, as is the case in most of these douche bag fests, most of the tall tales probably aren’t even true.

All you hear are the actual stories of success and the fabricated stories of success.
