We have an abundance of locally-grown produce in California, with 30 minutes to a few hours of a drive from our largest cities.

One drive on one of our many interstates and such is all you need to see.

So the question is where is the produce at our markets coming from? These farms directly or through people merely reselling via some other distribution point or channel.
