The general sense I portray here is not neighborhood specific. I live in a pretty expensive, sought after, busy neighborhood. So the other side of the coin is that it absolutely is vibrant and generally a nice place to live. But there's this air out there that everyone is out not merely for themselves, but to protect themselves, which, as I explained, I (sadly) understand.
