Not Virgil or Los Feliz, but same Idea. That description is pretty much most of LA proper now.

I totally agree with you on the violence aspect. It's dangerous to say it's more violent in LA because all this is is associating homelessness with violence.

There's more blight and an attitude that comes along with it that's tough to be around. That said, I do like living here but to be able to say and do that you do have to overlook a lot on a daily basis.
