Here’s something to hang your hat on —
Prior to my present run on Medium, I created at least two other accounts and promptly closed them out of frustration. I’d publish articles and generate anywhere from zero (literally) to a few dozen views.
Two or three experiences like this drained my patience and I was out.
I know better. I knew better.
But I came to Medium with a sense of entitlement, largely because I already had significant experience writing — in a wide range of capacities — under my belt.
When the pandemic hit and we were all staying at home, I swallowed my pride.
I made a deal with myself that I’d stick it out on the platform for at least six months. Maybe more importantly, I focused my writing.
