I agree with you. And you know I love your articles. They're part of what keeps me focused on making this move. I want it badly.
My point was simply that not everyone in America is sucked into the grind. You can live differently. It's not an either or thing. If you're lucky and in a position to do so you can move for a better life. You can be part of a better culture (in my eyes at least) and live a different lifestyle at a relatively affordable price in a more equitable society.
That said, living here, I think, has helped put me in this favorable position of having a choice. And I don't grind it out like so many people do.
