It is unfair to take isolated conditions and generalize them as indicative of an entire place. Unfair, even dangerous and purely political. Especially when red states (and non-urban areas of blue states) have their own drug and other problems, which might actually be bigger than what's happening in SF, LA and Portland. This just doesn't make for a good sensational show.
