4 Reasons Why I Do Well as a Freelance Writer

It’s easy work if you can get your head right

I hope this doesn’t sound pessimistic.

Most of us have a limited number of things we do well enough to generate ample income.

Personally, I can think of three — writing articles for the internet, editing articles for the internet, and being a bartender. Several others I have yet to discover or overlooked probably exist. Mainly because I can or probably could adapt the skills used in the aforementioned to do other things.

The overarching point is that the present environment makes us think we can do anything.

Many parents drill the mantra of we can do anything we put our minds to into their kids’ heads. Mine did.

To some extent, this is true. It’s also bull shit that can hurt more than help.

Here’s why —

And, again, consider the present environment where everybody suggests quitting traditional, full-time work in favor of some sort of side hustle or passion turned primary income source.

Because it’s what I do, we’ll focus on writing online content.
